In the shape of a wavy full-length mirror, this can be a real asset when it comes to giving personality to your room. Place it in your home to add a powerful feature to the space, whilst also expressing your unique sense of style and beauty. This long wavy mirror is a powerful statement to your decor and can completely transform the environment around it.
The Postmodern aesthetic is having its moment right now, as we've seen in the highly coveted vintage pieces that go viral on Instagram. The name, 'Ultrafragola' translates to 'ultimate strawberry' — invoking the sensuality in the piece from its colour and soft waves. This outstanding mirror by Ettore Sottsass has survived generations and proved that good artwork remains while time passes.
The Ultrafragola mirror is also a lamp. Turned off, the frame has a beautiful and shiny white opaline colour. Turned on, the frame gains a glowy and soft neon pink LED light colouration, visible both in the dark and in the light.
History of the Ultrafragola Mirror
This incredible wavy mirror was designed by Ettore Sottsass jr. in 1970, as part of the Mobili Grigi project. The Ultrafragola is the only piece of that series that Poltronova has continued producing without a break from 1970 to now. During his life, Sottsass was part of different art movements and designed different decorations assets as well as office equipment.
