1950s Italian freestanding drinks cabinet

Rare Italian 1950s drinks cabinet. Polished brass doors, cobalt blue top and sides with and chunky black handles. 

The front panel that opens downwards showcases an illustration by the Italian artist L. Montinaro who was known for his distinctive landscape illustrations.

Mid-Century Artistic Collaborations in 1950s Italy, furniture production frequently involved collaborations between master cabinetmakers (such as Osvaldo Borsani, Paolo Buffa, or Vittorio Dassi) and independent artists, painters, or ceramists.
