Rare 1950s Paolo Buffa drinks cabinet
A beautifully crafted Italian mid-century cocktail cabinet dating from the 1950s, designed by Paolo Buffa and executed in solid walnut with ribbed panelled doors and sculptural tapered legs. The cabinet features a distinctive vertical fluted façade and inset blue and green mirrored panels to each door, a hallmark detail associated with Milanese design of the period.
The interior opens to reveal a series of original coloured lacquered shelves in blue, ivory, red and yellow on one side and the other has one shelf.
The cabinet is raised on elegant shaped legs with a floating glass display shelves, creating a light and architectural profile typical of Italian design ateliers of the time.
